Top of Saw & Bottom Counterbalance:
An important feature, for HEM Saw Vertical Saws, is the location of the drive gearbox; it's in the TOP of the head, safely away from chips and coolant contamination for extended life and low maintenance.  This is accomplished by using a counterbalance, located on the bottom portion of the arm.
