The new FP120HA horizontal
pivoting miter saw makes its show debut this week in Chicago at the
IMTS ’96 trade show. This
well-designed angle-cutting saw will make a significant contribution
to HE&M Saw’s product line.
The typical application for this versatile saw will be in fabrication
shops and where structural material is to be cut.
It is sure to increase production and boost profits for
customers who want versatility in their production capabilities.
The FP120HA will cut up to 60°
in one direction using a 17’ x 1 ¼” blade.
Capacity for the saw is 16” x 27” wide and 16” x 18” at
45°.
Power is provided to the saw by a rugged 5 HP motor and an
optional 2 HP hydraulic system. The pivot for miter cutting is located
under the blade and attached to the solid reinforced base.
The arm-lifting pivot is positioned to keep the cut angle at a
minimum as it goes through the material.
It keeps the guide arms closer to the cut thereby reducing
vibration and material pinching.
Heavy-duty carbide guides, swing away control console, feed vise
out-of-stock sensors, a pullout chip tray, and an air mist coolant
system are all standard features for the FP120. Optional features will
include powered swing controls, powered guide arm control, full
stroking vises, a full capacity top clamping system for vertical
clamping of structural shapes and bundles of material, and a CCF
(Computer Controlled Feed System). A 48” bar feed system is
available for both models. It
is standard for the hydraulic automatic saw.
