1996 V120HA Shown
Pryor, Oklahoma
Performance,
productivity, and cost savings are just some of the values we expect
from the tools that will carry us into the 21st Century.
It is with this in mind that we introduce the all-hydraulic
V120, automatic or manual, vertical band saw.
This easy-to-use vertical band saw with large capacity and
miter-cutting capability offers a range of capabilities and options.
The
V120 saws feature a 7½ horsepower band motor, an even moor rugged
gearbox, 20” band wheels and a hefty saw base.
The arm carriage rides on precision ball and linear bearings
and allows for a balanced arm that is easy to tilt to any angle from
45°
in either direction and is located behind the cutting area, away from
chips and coolant contamination.
Because the carriage bearings are located behind the actual
cutting zone, cutting is smoother and more accurate than ever before
in a tilt-frame band saw.
The
heart of the 7½ horsepower drive system is a sealed band motor that
is placed high in the arm next to the rugged gearbox.
This placement keeps the power system away from coolant, chips,
and debris and also makes for ease of maintenance.
The
saw base has a linear bearing rear track rail for smoother, more
efficient cutting. The
saw base is fabricated and welded into a solid
|
and
stable platform for the arm carriage.
The base also has a built-in coolant reservoir that makes
replenishing or cleaning a breeze.
Optional
is the unique chip conveyor system (manual or powered) that quickly
sweeps chips out of the saw pan.
The conveyor allows chips to drain until they are swept into
dual chip containers on either side of the saw base.
This system keeps coolant costs to a minimum because chips can
be properly drained before disposal or recycling.
With
a capacity of 18 inches by 24 inches when vertical, and 18 by 16
inches when tilted to 45°
(on the left side) and 14¾ inches (on the right side), the V120 saws
pack more power and versatility than any competitor. Options
available on the new V120HA include the Cut Watcher system, second
main machine vise, and full capacity top clamps (main swing away and
feed vise).
The
Computer Controlled Feed System, which allows up to 99 different jobs
with varying lengths and quantities to be entered for automatic
production, is standard on the automatic models. Cut
after cut, year after year, nothing lasts longer or cuts straighter
than a band saw blade that is aligned with carbide guides.
Practically maintenance-free, HE&M Saw’s precision ground
carbide blade guides hold the blade in perfect alignment.
Table options include idle or powered
tables in lengths of five and ten feet.
The
versatility of this new saw model combined with HE&M Saw’s
reputation for cutting accuracy, reliability, and low cost maintenance
should make this a popular band saw for companies who are gearing up
for the 21st Century.
