SUMMARY:  HE&M Saw To Launch New Direction for 2003

          HE&M Saw announces a new direction for 2003.  Mr. Gerald R. Harris has been elected to the positions of CEO/Chairman of the Board effective January 2, 2003.  Gerald will still be actively involved in Engineering & Design in a semi-retired capacity.  Doug Harris has been promoted to President and will take over day-to-day operations of the company, including Sales & Marketing.  HE&M Saw is widely known in the industry for accuracy, high production capacity, and reliability built in to every saw produced.  This basic philosophy will not change.  Rather, a new dimension has been added to the company’s approach to the market.  Over the past twelve months, HE&M Saw has brought to the market new products, including a DC2038-RB1 Rotary Base, Double Column Band Saw with telescoping tables for feed and discharge; new single and double miter horizontal saws; and a wide range of material handling products ranging from a premium line to a standard line.  HE&M Saw is also adding precision circular saws and a full line of sawing fluids specifically designed and targeted toward sawing. 

         HE&M Saw is excited about the opportunities in the future and we are diligently working to increase the services we provide to our customers.  With the appointment of J.R. Rupprecht as Service Manager, we are increasing the range of services and the personnel to provide them to ensure that our customers experience less downtime and more profit.  We realize that if you’re not cutting steel, you’re not making money.

         Doug Harris has been Vice President in charge of Sales for the past 12 years and is well versed in the machine tool industry and HE&M Saw in particular.  He grew up with the business and is now ready to bring his rich background, education, and experience in Business and Engineering to lead HE&M Saw into the new century.
