In creating this web site we decided to "put a software
program on the Internet" that could be used by general browsers
and our representatives to do business on the Internet. In

GET
RID OF PAGE LABELS:
On IE5.5 the default setting for printing a document off the Internet should be
changed so that no (page titles) or (page 1 of 1) labels are printed on your documents.
Changing is easy. At the top of the Browser Menu go to (File
- Page Setup). On the Page Setup display erase the writing in the (Header and Footer) section then click (OK).
This will clean up your print-outs and make them true sales tools. |
RECONFIGURE
YOUR INITIAL LOG-ON DESTINATION:
On IE5.0 the initial destination of where you connect to the Internet can be
changed to any Internet web site you choose. To make hem.com your
destination site, go to Tools,
then to Internet Options. A control
panel with tabs at the top will pop-up with the General
tab showing first. Go to Home Page and change the URL to
www.hemsaw.com. |
PRINT
ALL BACKGROUNDS
To make the web site load faster, we used background color
rather that images to create our online documents. On IE5.0 you can print these web backgrounds
which will make the
sales tools really shine. Go to Tools,
then to Internet Options. A control
panel with tabs at the top will pop-up with the General
tab showing first. Go to Advanced
scroll down to the Printing Icon and
check this box. |
