HE&M Saw is excited to announce that we will once again be sponsoring Joey Saldana for the 2019 World of Outlaws race season.
Joey Saldana hails from Brownsburg, Indiana, and is known by many as the “Brownsburg Bullet”. As a second generation racer, he began racing sprint cars locally at Indiana tracks in the early 1990’s and was named “Rookie of the Year in 1996.
It would seem that Joey doesn’t just love to race, he was born for it. His father, Joe Saldana or “Lil’ Joe”, had already made a name for himself in the racing game, not only in sprint cars, finishing in 1st place at the Knoxville Nationals in 1970, but also by making 2 appearances in the Indianapolis 500, with a 15th place finish in 1978 and 16th place the following year.
But the “Brownsburg Bullet” was not to be out done and in 1995, he racked up 18 wins in the All Star Circuit Of Champions with an occasional ran with the World of Outlaws, where he got his first series win that same year.
Saldana’s racing credits includes being 6th in all-time career World of Outlaws wins and he boast 110 appearances in victory lane. Joey is a 2-time King Royal winner, 2-time Gold Cup winner and has finished second in the Knoxville Nationals three times.
Saldana has won events such as the Devil’s Bowl Speedway Winter and Summer Nationals, Silver Dollar Speedway’s Gold Cup, Eldora Speedway’s 4 Crown Sprint Nationals, and I-55 Speedway’s inaugural Iron Man 55, which is the longest race on the season. Joey has also participated in events in Australia and New Zealand.
HE&M Saw is proud of their long history with Saldana, starting back in 2000, when he put together his own Outlaw racing deal, which included HE&M Saw and National Roadside Assistance as sponsors.
HE&M Saw has an 18 year history with Saldana, and thru those years Joey has driven for many teams, including the Beef Packers #83 car, the Motter Equipment Inc. # 71 car, the Budweiser #9 car and most recently the Rudeen #26 car and HE&M Saw is proud to have been on board for it all.
HE&M Saw would like to wish Joey Saldana and his team a very successful 2019 season and, as always, we look forward to seeing him cross the finish line.
